Welcome to Riverway Elementary School, the proud home of the Otters!

It is an honor to serve as the principal of a school dedicated to empowering every student to grow, thrive, and succeed. Our shared commitment among students, staff, families, and community partners is what makes Riverway such a special place.

At Riverway, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. We celebrate growth and embrace learning as a lifelong journey. Our staff is deeply committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where students flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Through high-quality first instruction, a strong Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Response to Intervention (RTI), and a focus on growth mindset, we ensure that each student is supported and challenged.

Our school culture is centered on C.A.R.E. which stands for: Compassion, Act Responsibly, Respect, and Encourage Best Effort. These values are lived out daily in every setting, creating a space where all students and staff feel a sense of belonging and purpose.

As we begin a new school year, we warmly invite you to be an active partner in your child’s education. When school and home work together, students benefit tremendously. Please encourage your child to read at home for at least 30 minutes each day and model a love of learning. For those interested in becoming more involved, we welcome you to join our PTA or reach out to your child’s teacher for volunteer opportunities.
